Who we are
The practice was founded by Graeme Tremaine in 1994 under the name “Graeme Tremaine and Associates” and has grown steadily since then, with nearly all new business coming by recommendation. The firm rebranded to the snappier name of Tremaines Ltd in 2011.

Graeme Tanner-Tremaine, BSc (Econ), FCMA, CGMA
The firm’s Principal, Graeme holds a practising certificate issued by the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. Since graduating in 1984, he has worked in public practice in a variety of chartered accountancy firms before establishing Tremaines. His main professional interests are working with clients to improve the profitability of their businesses and the efficiency of their systems and tax structures.
Graeme is a committed Christian, and actively involved in Church matters. Sailing and hill walking are favourite hobbies, but only occasionally indulged in these days!
Sue Woodgate ACA
After graduating with a degree in Business Studies, Sue qualified as a chartered accountant in 1994, having trained with Shipleys in Central London. Before joining Tremaines in 2010, Sue held a variety of financial controller and financial accountant positions for a range of companies. Sectors ranged from manufacturing, brand retailing, software and training providers.
She is responsible for overseeing total financial administration packages for key clients, production of year end accounts, and heads our Company Secretarial function. Experienced in a wide variety of accounting packages.
Leisure time is almost fully occupied by busy twins and being a school governor, but she still manages to listen to music amongst other things.
Garry Deacons
AAT qualified, Garry gets involved in many aspect of servicing clients: bookkeeping, administration, payroll, monthly and year-end accounting.
A very experienced Excel user, Garry is also skilled in TAS, Xero and Sage.
Outside of work, Garry enjoys gaming, following American football and keeping fit.
Karen Green ACCA
Karen qualified in 1990, and carries out a variety of financial administration and accounting tasks for our clients.
Karen spends a lot of time supporting her boys' sporting activities, and also enjoys walking.
Clare Tremaine
Company secretary, assistant to the Principal, advises on strategic issues and looks after some office facilities management.
Away from the office, her interests include dressmaking, woodland conservation, reading and walking.
Other staff
We are supported by other professional staff in the fields of bookkeeping and specialist tax, either on a freelance or part-time employed basis, all of whom share our commitment to providing excellent service.
